WE ARE OPEN!

Effective Monday, June 8, 2020: The San Mateo County Law Library is open with curbside services only by appointment. To reduce the risk of community spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) the public is not allowed into the library at this time.

Please call us at (650) 363-4913 or email us to make an appointment. Please include the details of your issue or specific requests for document delivery.

As we move into Phase 2, we are prohibited from circulating material. However, staff is available for live assistance by phone and email to address your research legal needs and provide access to our collection for you.

Hours: Monday - Friday 10am until 2pm.

LOCAL LEGAL SUPPORT

In accord with COVID-19 public health advisories, Bay Area Legal Aid is canceling all “in-person” Consumer Rights clinics until further notice. Until we can resume in-person clinics, we will be offering individual phone and/or online appointments each Thursday. To schedule a phone and/or online appointment for legal information on your consumer issue, please RSVP to (800) 551.5554.

The San Mateo County Superior Court offers a Small Claims Advisor to assist with Small Claims every Wednesday, 3:30pm to 5:30pm, in the 2nd floor Conference Room of 400 County Center, Redwood City. Call (650) 363.4303 for more information.

The Family Law Facilitator's Office offers assistance with starting a Divorce during their regular hours in their office, 2nd floor, 400 County Center, Redwood City. Call (650) 261.5010 for more information.

Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County offers a Landlord/Tenant Clinic every Monday, 8:30am to 11:30am, in the Family Law Facilitator's Office, 2nd floor, 400 County Center, Redwood City.
